Football for Recovery recognizes the powerful therapeutic benefits of sport and physical activity for mental health and wellbeing. This program provides a supportive environment where individuals facing mental health challenges, recovering from addiction, or dealing with trauma can find healing through football.
Working in partnership with mental health professionals and counselors, we offer structured football sessions that are therapeutic in nature, non-competitive, and focused on personal growth. The emphasis is on participation, community, and the mental health benefits of regular physical activity.
Participants often describe the program as transformative, giving them routine, purpose, social connection, and a healthy outlet for stress and anxiety. The non-judgmental, supportive environment helps build self-esteem and creates a sense of belonging.
We partner with mental health organizations, rehabilitation centers, and healthcare providers to ensure our program complements professional treatment and provides appropriate support. All our coaches receive mental health awareness training.
